Poti Airport
Location: Poti, Georgia The location where Argonauts journeyed from Phasis, now called Poti, the homeland of Medea, the mother of medicine. Bachelor's degree project I accomplished. I acquired immense wisdom from this undertaking. Intriguing outcome following diligent work, Eager to revisit this project for my master's degree to witness my progress.
Challenge
airport situated on the coast of the Black Sea, primary harbor town in Georgia lacking a nearby airport. I believe this airport for domestic flights is crucial for the development of both the port and the city. Tremendous challenge to link all aspects, an undertaking I've never done anything similar to before.
My Role
This bachelor's degree project, which I adore immensely, commenced with the concept of a seabird that is quite evident in the building's elevation. Following countless hours of sketching, crafting real-life models, and generating numerous plans for the entire structure, we discovered this elegant form that I eagerly anticipate exploring further as my expertise expands. It was particularly challenging since one of the stipulations required everything to be done manually, without computers or gadgets. I used to work on enormous sheets of paper daily, but the outcome was truly worth it.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, it is an excellent opportunity to work on a project this challenging;
it was more demanding than I anticipated, and the journey was longer. Yet, without putting forth significant effort, the result wouldn't be as satisfying as it is currently.
I cannot say I regret any moment spent working on this project and creating a fantastic domestic flight airport for such an incredible and significant city.
